Changes in the economic and social structure brought about by the
industrial revolution have produced a new environment in which information
and communication technologies are intensively exploited in every industry.
As information has become an essential competitive weapon, corporations
have turned to information processing technology to maintain control over it.
Information technologies in the domains of education, health, pharmacy, and
communication have gotten the highest portion of their budget as investment
tools. Information is crucial for all clinical and administrative procedures in
the health sector in particular. Capturing, storing, analyzing, interpreting, and
disseminating information requires advanced and intensive technologies, such
as speedy and effective diagnostic and treatment technology, patient
monitoring sensors, hospital information management systems, and radio
frequency recognition chips. Additionally, the transfer of health data to digital
platforms in our country and throughout the globe has hastened the growth of
the concept of electronic health (E-Health).
