Abstract

Architecture conveyed various functions for the society since the ancient times. It is the art of building, a tool for creating better environments and a science branch that involves humanity within its essence. Beyond these roles, architecture has also been used for transferring ideas and messages. This concept of mass communication brought an important conclusion of architecture being influenced by political discourse. A political ideology can be symbolized with built structures or design elements via architectural practices since it is an effective way to present a strong image towards society.
