Introduction and Aim: Healthy nutrition is directly related to access to accurate information. However, infodemic can become a societal problem. This study aims to examine the presence of infodemic in nutrition and food-related news articles published in March 2025 on one of the most frequently visited news websites in Türkiye. Materials and Methods: The data of this study were collected using a data collection form. Among a total of 10,428 news articles publis- hed on the specified news website in March 2025, 350 nutrition and food-related articles were identified and analysed. Data entry and statistical analysis were performed using the SPSS software. Results: Infodemic content was detected in 14.6% of the analysed articles. The most frequently observed type of infodemic was misin- formation (41.2%). In 26.9% of the news articles, no references were cited. The frequency of infodemic content was found to be signifi- cantly higher in articles that lacked source citation. Conclusion and Recommendations: Infodemic contributes to the rapid spread of unverified information related to nutrition and food through digital media platforms. Therefore, it is recommended that media organizations produce content in accordance with ethical standards, and efforts should be made to improve the public’s health literacy.
