Abstract

The Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) was held from March 9 to 12, 2025, in San Francisco, California, United States (US). The rapidly evolving field of HIV infection was reflected in data presented from cutting-edge scientific research at the conference. This review highlights data presented on two prominent topics during the meeting: HIV prevention and antiretroviral therapy (ART), with the aim of summarizing new data for the reader. The review also outlines the authors’ expectations for CROI 2026, which will be held from February 22 to 25, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, US.
