The informal economy is a significant issue that results in adverse outcomes, including the eroding of the social security system, unfair com- petition, and a decrease in public revenues. In order to enhance economic stability, tax justice, and social welfare, it is essential to address this issue in Turkiye. New opportunities in the battle against the informal economy are presented by technological advancements, particularly artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence offers excepti- onal solutions in various domains, including the detection of informal activities, the activation of audit processes, and the reinforcement of tax ad- ministration.The informal economy’s dimensions and ca- uses were investigated in this study, as well as the potential of artificial intelligence in this field and implementation examples. It is advised that Turkiye invest in these technologies, train experts, promote R&D activities, and enhance internatio- nal collaboration. The implementation of artificial intelligence will be instrumental in Turkiye’s ef- forts to combat the informal economy and achie- ve sustainable development objectives
Kayıt dışı ekonomi, kamu gelirlerinde azalma, haksız rekabet ve sosyal güvenlik sisteminin za- yıflaması gibi olumsuz sonuçlara yol açan önem- li bir sorundur. Türkiye’de bu sorunla mücadele, ekonomik istikrarın, vergi adaletinin ve toplumsal refahın artırılması açısından kritik bir öneme sa- hiptir. Teknolojik gelişmeler, özellikle yapay zekâ, kayıt dışı ekonomiyle mücadelede yeni fırsatlar sunmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, yapay zekâ, vergi ida- resinin güçlendirilmesi, denetim süreçlerinin et- kinleştirilmesi ve kayıt dışı faaliyetlerin tespiti gibi alanlarda dikkate değer çözümler sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, kayıt dışı ekonominin boyutları ve nedenleri incelenmiş; yapay zekanın bu alan- daki potansiyeli ve uygulama örnekleri değerlen- dirilmiştir. Çalışmada, Türkiye’nin bu teknolojilere yatırım yapması, uzman yetiştirilmesi, Ar-Ge fa- aliyetlerinin teşvik edilmesi ve uluslararası iş bir - liğinin artırılması önerilmektedir. Yapay zekanın benimsenmesi, Türkiye’nin kayıt dışı ekonomiyle mücadelesinde ve sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedef-lerine ulaşmasında kilit bir rol oynayacaktır.
