Abstract

Self-efficacy is pivotal for therapeutic relationships in occupational therapy. This study aimed to adapt SETUS to Turkish and assess the psychometric properties of SETUS-TR scale for Turkish occupational therapists. Beaton’s cross-cultural adaptation guidelines were followed adapting scale to Turkish. SETUS-TR showed strong internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha: 0.83-0.94), acceptable construct validity, and reliable test-retest results (ICC: 0.87-0.94). Significant correlations (0.12-0.39) existed between SETUS-TR and reference test subscales. SETUS-TR is valid and reliable tool, evaluating Turkish occupational therapists’ self-efficacy in therapeutic use of self. This research furthers understanding of therapeutic use of self in occupational therapy.
