Özet

Limestone calcined clay cement (LC3) offers a low-carbon alternative to Portland cement, while its combination with fly ash (FA) provides further opportunities for developing sustainable engineered cementitious composites (ECCs). This study investigates the influence of LC3 with different fly ash amounts, between 45% and 60%, on the on the engineering performance and self-healing performance of ECCs, supported by mechanical, durability, shrinkage-related, and microstructural evaluations under both undamaged and pre-damaged conditions. LC3-based ECCs exhibited over 60% higher compressive strength and 15% higher flexural strength than the reference. More importantly, the LC3–FA system enhanced healing performance, with recovery improving by up to 40–60%, particularly at an FA/LC3 ratio of 1.2. In addition, LC3-FA mixtures demonstrated over 70% greater ductility and up to 80% reduction in drying shrinkage. Microstructural results confirmed the formation of stable healing products, indicating strong potential for durable, low-carbon ECCs.
