Özet

This study was performed in order to analyze university students' self-efficacy perception in view of various factors. The study group comprised 232 university students studying at Hacettepe University located in Ankara, Turkey. The study was designed on the basis of the survey method as a quantitative research method and a cross-sectional survey pattern. During the process of data acquisition, the 'General Self-Efficacy Scale' and the 'Personal Information Form' developed by the researchers were used. It was found that the data acquired within the scope of the research was distributed normally, thus, the data was analyzed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), a test for multiple comparisons. As a result of the study, university students' self-efficacy perceptions were found to be significantly different in terms of their academic average and upbringing style, but, on the other side, not significantly different in terms of the variables of their class level, age, place they lived most of their lives, family structure, number of siblings, average level of family income and housing status.
