Aim: This research article aims to evaluate the number of undergraduate programs in the field of Health Sciences in Türkiye, the characteristics of these programs, and the quotas of the programs based on the results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS). Subjects and Method: Evaluations regarding the programs and quotas of the Bachelor’s Degree programs under Faculty of Health have been obtained from the database of the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) of the Republic of Turkey. This includes data on student quotas placed through “Health License Completion” “Additional Article 1” and “Vertical Transfer Exam” as well as the names of associate degree programs, accreditation information, and a list of programs that have qualified for the Turkey Qualifications Framework logo from relevant websites. Results: According to the YKS-2025 results, 77.4% of universities offer programs in the Health Sciences field, with the number of such programs totaling 878 and the total quota (capacity) being 45.905. In the 2024 YKS exam, students were placed in these programs with an additional placement corresponding to 28.6% of the quotas. Among the Health Sciences programs, 101 programs are accredited, and 81 programs hold the Turkey Qualifications Framework logo. Conclusion: Solution proposals should be developed for the problems experienced by undergraduate programs under the Faculties of Health Sciences, action plans should be prepared, and initiatives aimed at solutions should be undertaken in coordination with the relevant units.
Amaç: Bu araştırma makalesinde Türkiye’de Sağlık Bilimleri alanında eğitim veren lisans program sayıları, programların özellikleri, programların kontenjanlarına ilişkin veriler Yükseköğretim Kurumları Sınavı (YKS) sonuçlarına göre değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bireyler ve Yöntem: Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültelerindeki Lisans Programlarının program ve kontenjan sayılarına ilişkin değerlendirmeler, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Öğrenci Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi Başkanlığı sayfası Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Sistemi veri tabanından, “Sağlık Lisans Tamamlama”, “Ek Madde 1” ve “Dikey Geçiş Sınavı” ile yerleşen öğrenci kontenjanları ve önlisans programları adları ile akreditasyon bilgileri ve Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi logosu almaya hak kazanan programların listesi ilgili web sitelerinden elde edilmiştir. Bulgular: YKS-2025 sonuçlarına göre üniversitelerde Sağlık Bilimleri alanında eğitim veren 878 (%77,4) program bulunmakta olup, toplam kontenjan 45.905’dir. YKS-2024’de kontenjanların %28,6’sı kadar ek yerleştirme ile öğrenci yerleştirilmiştir. Sağlık Bilimleri programları arasında akredite olan program sayısı 101, Türkiye Yeterlilikler Çerçevesi logosuna sahip olan programların sayısı ise 81’dir. Sonuç: Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültelerinde ki lisans programlarının yaşadıkları sorunlara yönelik çözüm önerileri geliştirilmeli, eylem planları hazırlanmalı ve ilgili birimlerle koordine bir şekilde çözüme yönelik girişimlerde bulunulmalıdır.
