Özet

Records which are produced in the course of school's daily life as a source of institutional information are not only one of the most significant part of communication and administration at schools but also a very important guide for local and national education planning. In order to manage the records by an efficient records management system, it is inevitable to analyze the present condition of records processes in all departments of the school, the lacking points and requirements in the light of the national and international procedures which is a guide for records management. In the context of the study some analysis techniques and questionnaire have been applied to describe the records management conditions and problems in 22 private primary and secondary schools in Turkey.
