Abstract

Although testicular trauma is rarely seen, the diagnosis and treatment in emergency department is very important because of the infertility risk. Delayed treatment or misdiagnosis of the testicular trauma may cause testicular infarct, torsion, atrophy, and abscess formation. If both of the testicles are affected, it may cause infertility. We present a patient who had traumatic scrotal incision and left testicular hematocele. It was aimed to discuss management of conservative and surgical treatment indications of testicular trauma.

Testis yaralanmalar› nadir görülmekle birlikte, infertilite ile iliflkili olmas›ndan dolay› acil serviste teflhis ve tedavisi önemli olan yaralanmalard›r. Geç veya yanl›fl tedavi, testiste enfark, torsiyon, atrofi ve apseye yol açabilir. Her iki testisin etkilenmesi durumunda infertilite oluflabilir. Skrotumda kesi ve testiste a¤r› flikayeti ile baflvuran ve sol testiste hematosel saptanan vakay› sunarak; künt testis travmalar›na yaklafl›m›, konservatif ve cerrahi tedavi endikasyonlar›n› tart›flmay› amaçlad›k.
