OBJECTIVE: To assess the potential contribution of nuclear morphometry to the differential diagnosis of renal epithelial tumors with eosinophilic cytoplasm, including chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (ChRCC), the eosinophilic variant of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (EoRCC), and oncocytoma.
