Abstract

Objective: The importance of primary health care services with regard to public health was first emphasized in the Primary Health Care Conference which was held in Alma-Ata, in 1978. The importance of these services was accepted and primary health care organization was established in 1961 with law. This study was aimed to develop an instrument to measure self-assessment of general practitioners on primary health care services who provide effectively those services, and to analyze the structure and reliability of the measurement instrument. It is expected that the developed scale will contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.
