Özet

The aim of the research was to identify patterns and refine the conceptualization of principal mindfulness exploring how school principals foster mindful management and/or present mindless behaviors and practices in school management. Informed by the school mindfulness framework that Hoy adapted into school environments, results suggest that mindful behaviors and practices of principals cultivate trust, collaboration and organizational learning, however mindless practices of principals produce poor communication, inactivity, rigidity and centralized decision-making routines in schools.
