Özet

Research on intervention strategies for auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder (ANSD) has increased with the development of novel therapeutic approaches. However, a comprehensive bibliometric evaluation of global publication trends and research themes in this field is still lacking. This study aimed to examine global research trends, key themes, collaboration patterns, and influential publications on interventions for ANSD using bibliometric analysis. Publications published between 1983 and 2026 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection using terms related to auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder and interventions. Bibliometric analyses of publication trends, country collaboration, author co-authorship, keyword co-occurrence, and citation patterns were performed using VOSviewer (version 1.6.20). A total of 498 publications were analyzed. Annual output increased after 2010 and peaked in 2023, with the United States leading in productivity and citations. Co-authorship analysis identified 42 active authors in six collaboration clusters, led by Qiuju Wang, Hongyang Wang, and Prashanth Prabhu. Keyword analysis revealed major themes including otoacoustic emissions, hearing aids, speech perception, auditory brainstem responses, and cochlear implants. Highly cited studies mainly focused on interventions for ANSD, as well as pathophysiology, pediatric features, and diagnostic approaches. The most influential journals were Ear and Hearing, International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, and Otology & Neurotology. This bibliometric analysis demonstrates the expansion of global research on interventions for ANSD and identifies key contributors and research themes. However, gaps remain in long-term outcomes and large-scale, diverse studies, underscoring the need for multinational and longitudinal research to strengthen evidence-based practice.
