New Rhyacophila (Trichoptera, Rhyacophilidae) species from France and Spain

Abstract

In this study, three new species of the genus Rhyacophila (Trichoptera, Rhyacophilidae) from France and Spain are described and illustrated: R. joani sp.n. belonging to the vulgaris-group is found in Cantabria (Spain) and two species belonging to the stigmatica-group, R. pongensis sp. n. (Spain) and R. arties sp. n (France). Descriptive notes on R. eatoni McLachlan, 1879 and R. vandeli Despax, 1933 are included.
