Bu araştırma, sanatın salt amacına değinmeden sanatın topluma olan etkisi ve belli başlı düşünürlerin bu konudaki söylemlerini içermektedir. Kamusal alan sanatının olumlu dönüştürücü rolü kısaca araştırılmaktadır. Kamusal mimari yapılarda ise duvar seramiği örneklerinden bir seçki sunulmaktadır. Bu seçkideki öncelik sırası sıklıkla literatürde yer almamış olan örneklere verilmiştir. Bahsedilen eserler, çoğunlukla kamusal yapının dış cephesinde yer almakta ve dönüştürücü gücü ile okunmaya çalışılmaktadır. Sonuç bölümünde ise, “Sanatın gücü ne zaman ve kimler için ortaya çıkar?” sorusu irdelenmektedir. Kısacası, vatandaşın algısına giren ve duyularıyla temasta bulunan sanat eserleri toplum içerisinde ortak bir konu oluşturmakta ve fikirler tartışılarak sanat eserinin kalıcılığı artırılmakta, etkilediği yelpaze genişlemektedir. Etkilenen ve etki eden taraflar yeni olasılıklara, fikirlere, alanlara ulaşmakta ve böylelikle bahsedilen dönüşüme girmektedir.
This research includes the effect of art on societies and the discourses of major thinkers on this subject without mentioning the pure purpose of art. The positive transformative role of public space art is briefly explored. In public architectural buildings, a selection of pioneering wall ceramics is presented. Priority was given to the examples that were not frequently included in the prominent litera- ture. The mentioned works are mostly located on the exterior of the public buildings and are tried to be read with their transofrmative power. In the conclusion part, the question of “When and for whom the power of art emerges?” is examined. It is concluded that the art works in the perception of the citizens and come into contact with their senses create a common subject in the society and the permanence of the artwork is increased by discussing the ideas and the spectuum of influence is widened. Affected and influencing parts reach new possibilities, ideas, areas and thus enter into transformation.
