Although STBQ was designed to be applicable across major religions, subsequent validation studies have yet to be conducted to examine the in other samples. Consequently, the purpose of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of a Turkish version of the STBQ (STBQ-Tr) in a predominantly Turkish Muslim sample. Three hundred and ninety-five young adults completed the STBQ-Tr and a number of validation measures. Consistent with the original version of the STBQ, a two-factor solution was retained, and the measure was found to exhibit strong psychometric properties. Overall, the study provides initial support for the utility of the STBQ in religions other than Christianity and languages other than English .
