Özet

Herbal products are most commonly used in cosmetic area as well as in health sector. Phytocosmeceuticals are herbal products which are design to improve beauty and health of skin with external application. Generally, herbal products are frequently used to retard of skin aging. The effect of these products was originated from their phytochemicals. Phenolics and especially flavonoids containing plants found widespread application area because of the antioxidant effect of this type of compounds. Some plant oils are used for moisturizing and smooth out of skin. Moreover shortening of telomers can be blocked by telomerase enzyme and skin aging delayed in that way. However, when designing telomerase including products, cancerogenic risks must be taken into consideration.
