This letter analyzes the effect of power amplifier nonlinearity on the downlink performance of multi-user multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) systems employing filter bank multicarrier (FBMC). We derive the closed form signal to distortion, interference and noise ratio (SDINR), and ergodic achievable rate for the linearly precoded system. The numerical results not only validate the analytical results but also compare the performance of FBMC and traditional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signaling in nonlinearly amplified MU-MIMO systems.
