Özet

In this paper, the performance evaluation studies on rougher flotation circuit at Kure Flotation Plant were presented using the data taken from the first 8 cells of 16 rougher cells. The results showed that flotation rate of copper was rather slow and cumulative copper recovery was at the range of 50% in the first bank and 70% at the end of the second bank. The behaviour of pyrite particles was also evaluated in the view of middling particles and pyrite activation. Finally, the relationship between the recovery of insolubles (non-sulphide gangue minerals) and water recovery was evaluated on the basis of different size fractions. Consequently, this study enabled the robust evaluation of this part of the circuit and provided better understanding of the behaviour of chalcopyrite, pyrite and insolubles in the rougher circuit.
