This study takes a critical view of the relationship between truth and narrative. This view is based on the idea that we can not saparate the reality of life precisely from the fiction of a text. Huizinga’s concept of Homo Ludens which means the human being who plays games is needed at this point. One of the aims of his work is to critically interpret the dual oppositions of reality-game, reality-narrative, game-seriousness, logos-chaos through Hikmet Benol who is the main character of the text named ‘Tehlikeli Oyunlar’. Although the first text that comes to mind when Oğuz Atay is mentioned is his work called ‘Tutunamayanlar’, the most 'disconnected’, the most 'mad', the most anomalous, and perhaps more 'disconnected’ than Selim Işık is the character named Hikmet Benol. In this way, game and madness are understood when they are evaluated together with conceptualizations such as not obeying certain norms, contradicting the logos order, or being disconnected to hold in 'normal' daily life. For this reason, throughout the study, by touching the basic problems experienced by the Hikmet Benol, namely by basing the problem of existence and the (de)identification problem; subjects like irony, moking, existence, death/suicide were evaluated. Thus, the importance of the fictionality of the ‘game’ and the a/normality of the ‘madness’ for a critical philosophy of life is discussed.
