Özet

The historical structures of Turkish political system would had been eliminated by Mustafa Kemal, the leader of Turkish National Struggle, and his friends defeated Greek military forces in Asia Minor in Sebtember 1922. The first step of in this process was abolishment of Ottoman monarcy, the second was the proclomaton of Turkish Rebuclic. On the other hand, these radical transformations caused an opposition and this opposition had intellectual and political dimensions and actors. Lutfi Fikri, as an intellectual member of this opposition, wrote a book, untitled Mesrutiyet ve Cumhuriyet, and made a suggestion to agree with Mustafa Kemal. According to him, the consensus among them should be provided on constituonal regime not republican one. If the most important thing is freedom, Republican regime is not only solution for this porpuse and the constituonal monarchy contains Caliphate and the Caliphate is very important for maintaining Muslims. support to Turkey.
