Özet

In this study, a new method, Shifted Frequency Internal Equivalence (SFIE) is used for calculating the electromagnetic scattering from arbitrarily shaped 3D lossy bodies in a wide frequency range for the first time. The novelty of the method lies in the application of Shifted Frequency Internal Equivalence (SFIE) for 3D electromagnetic problems. Two different equivalence equations are obtained using equivalent volume and surface sources with operating frequency. and shifted frequency omega(0). Most of the equations are formed using the fixed, shifted frequency, and these are coupled with the equations obtained for outer equivalence using the operating frequency., in order to have a solvable matrix equation. The Method of Moments (MoM) is chosen for the solution of equivalence equations because of simplicity although other numerical methods, e.g. Finite Element Method (FEM), iterative methods can be selected. The EM scattering from dielectric bodies with complex permittivity is investigated in a frequency sweep analysis. The solution obtained with SFIE is compared with Volume Integral Equation (VIE) solved using the classical MoM, simulation software and Mie scattering theory results. The improvements in CPU time compared to MoM is also presented.
