Özet

Ranque-Hilsch Vortex Tube (RHVT) is a system that consists of a simple pipe, has no moving parts except the control valve, works with pressurized fluid, and making both cooling and heating processes at the same time. Air is generally used as the pressurized fluid in RHVT, and oxygen gas was used as fluid in the experimental study. In this study, a counter-flow RHVT with a body length of 100 mm and an internal diameter of 7 mm, which has no moving parts except for the control valve on the hot fluid outlet side, was used to adjust the volumetric flow rates. In counter flow RHVT, two, three, four, five and six orifice nozzles made of polyamide and brass materials were used. In the experimental study, the control valve on the hot fluid outlet side was left in the fully open position. The performance of the RHVT was optimized in terms of the difference (ΔT) between the temperature of the outpoint hot flow (Tsck) and the temperature of the outpoint cold flow (Tsgk) by using pressurized oxygen gas at 50 kPa intervals between the inlet pressure of 150 and 700 kPa. For this purpose, Linear Regression (LR) and Gaussian Process Regression (GSR) methods, which are machine learning methods, were used separately in the optimization of the performance of RHVT. The obtained results were compared with the analysis results using experimental data.
