Consider the two-dimensional contingency table having one or both variables are ordinal. In such cases various models exist such that the row effects model, the column effects model, or the uniform association model. These models require assigning scores to levels of ordinal variable. It is proposed different formulas for assigning the row or the column scores. Different choices of scores effect the local odds ratios. In this study it is discussed the effect of the row and the column scores in analyzing data.
