Agaoglu and his party (DP) bequeathed a political legacy that leaded his political life and whose effects have still been felt. This legacy played an important role in forming the democratic regime and the change in the political life during the process of transition from a state ruling system into a public ruling system. Beside this cultural legacy, a new political figure also emerged together with DP. In fact, we can identify this new political figure, who emerged as a result of transition into multi-political system, is formed by DP and acts as a model today, as the one who goes public, is populist in his statements, favors religion, never keeps promises, ignores democratic values for the sake of limiting the opposition parties, but on the other hand the one who is brave, conscious, can form liberal policies, targets the west and gives priority to development. The son of Turkish and Nationalist Ahmet Agaoglu, Samet Agaoglu whose political portrayal we examine in this study has, to a large extent, the characteristics of this new political figure that grew up in the political atmosphere of DP. This different figure in DP is the result of his family environment in which he grew up and is engaged in politics relying on the opinions of his father.
