Özet

One can not attribute a meaning to an object without any apparent reason. Meaning has a function or is valid only insofar as it goes into action. As for the meaning of the action, it is conveyed by the instrument used to carry out an action. Once the instrument is chosen, the meaning is transformed into a sign that reflects an intention. Semiotics, as a science of signs, analyzes all the instruments necessary for the construction of the reality in which we live; it considers them to be means of a universe endowed with sense although artificial. Each instrument is based on a very precise reasoning that we try to grasp through the data of semiotics. The book entitled Pallor Kiiltiir Kentlesmeler by Ocal Oguz (2019) represents an action; it is an act of writing. The meaning of this action is conveyed by the book that is held by hand. Indeed, the book can become a sign of intention whose objects of analysis are roughly the city and the culture. The book, while restructuring the reality, rests on an artificial structure based on syntagmatic reasoning. Generally speaking as a subject of space, life and urban content, this book aims to conceive reality by referring to a concrete reality, in the form of precise phenomena (with the data of folklore) and micro-narratives. In this article, we will try to define the process of constructing the meaning of the concerned book by using, although in a limited way, the data of semiotics and without excluding a thematic point of view. Our goal is to analyze the fallout of the urbanization process considered a folk phenomenon by relying on the semiotic theories whose data have been used so far to analyze the different types of speech. Thus, we will be able to provide new definitions of the nature of urbanization as a sui generis discourse. In addition, this article is intended to present the process of meaning production of this book, as well as to analyze it as a semiotic phenomenon.
