MS is an immune-mediated disease of the central nervous system (CNS) characterized by inflammatory demyelinating process and axonal loss. It is more common in women than in men and affects young adults. MS is analyzed within two basic subcategories these are Relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) and Progressive MS.
