This paper presents an analysis on the acceptance of autonomous vehicles in Turkey with the help of a comprehensive online survey and research of autonomous vehicles. Background information about autonomous vehicles, the studies going on currently and consumer behaviour towards these vehicles were studied. Since there are different personas in traffic in Turkey, this analysis was necessary. For instance, aggressive and passive drivers exist in Turkey and views on autonomous vehicles change accordingly. The participants were grouped according to driver type, gender and age. The questions started off with the ones that have informative sections including points such as cyber security issues, insurance, infrastructure problems, seating positions within the vehicle and the ongoing simulations of autonomous vehicles. It was clearly seen that in many different scenarios presented in the survey, the participants lean towards traditional driving and the inclusion of new technologies such as cyber security frighten them. The gender and age of participants played a significant role in many of the answers.
