Özet

Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) is an idiopathic, benign, slowly progressive, proliferative disorder of synovial tissue, tendon sheaths, and bursae. Involvement of the ankle occurs in fewer than 10% of patients with PVNS, and clinical behavior and treatment are not well described. Although PVNS of ankle can be treated with open procedures frequently, in this paper, a case of PVNS of the ankle with marked bone and joint destruction treated by arthroscopic subtotal synovectomy was discussed.
