The United Circles (UC) project will demonstrate three novel circular economy value chains, in upcycling of urban Food Waste, in extraction and valorisation of Wastewater Solids, and in separation and upcycling of Construction & Demolition Waste, combined with urban and industrial Pulp & Paper plant water loops closing to reduce freshwater use in drought prone regions, and sludge to biogas to syngas upgrading for the renewable transition. Made possible by advancing 15 innovative technologies from TRL 5 to TRL7 in integrated value chains, to enable zero waste cities and a decarbonised Process Industry.
