Abstract:

Anatolia territory embraces a lot of ethnic groups. One of these is Tatars. Tatars who spread through the surroundings of Eskişehir, Ankara and Konya are defined with the name of the place where they settled down. Kazan Tatars, Crimean Tatars and Siberia Tatars are the epitomics. The researched Böğrüdelik Tatars decribe themselves as Siberia Tatars. The research about this ethnic group mostly focus on their history and idiom. There aren't any published or researched sources about the music culture of Tatars who live in Böğrüdelik. Examining the music of a society is important for acquiring ethnomusicologist. Verbal music gives an opportunity to get information about a migrant society such as migration reasons, the life before and after a migration.In this way, life experience of the community members, which cultural factors are prioritized and what factors are transmitted to the next generation can be determined. Böğrüdelik village which is the research sample is in Cihanbeyli district in Konya and it is the only place where Tatars who migrated from Sibiria live. As it is only one sample, it is important for creating data for the ethnomusicology and ethnology work with obtained knowledge. Böğrüdelik Village, which is the research sample, is located in Cihanbeyli district of Konya with in Turkey; the only place where the Tatars found migrating from Siberia. As it is the only sample, the information obtained is important in terms of creating data for ethnomusicology and folklore studies. In this study, which includes the folk tunes called "yır" by the people who lived / lived in Böğrüdelik, to create data in order to contribute to the transmission and continuity of the folk melodies to other generations, to ensure the preservation of the existing melodies and to observe the structure in the migration process by examining the lyrical structure in the past is intended. For this purpose, yırs were compiled, notated, and their melodic-verbal structures were examined. The point reached when the folk melodies of Böğrüdelik are examined; it is that there is a lot of lyric production after immigration, but melody production is more limited. This situation is associated with their need for speech. In this process; audio, written and visual literature review and interview technique were used.
